Fire Fell
About
SURVIVING HELL IS ONLY HALF THE STORY. After vengeance costs him his life, Victor wakes in a volcanic nightmare belonging to Borrakai, the god of rage. The monsters kill him. The lava brings him back. Then Victor discovers the fire does the same for anything he throws into it, resurrecting the dead smoldering and under his control. Armed with a sledgehammer, a dwindling supply of bullets, and a cycle of death and rebirth, Victor sets his sights on the one thing the burning chasm seems determined to deny him: escape. The attempt fails, sending him falling out of the sky at the feet of Jennifer, a disgraced dragon-kin princess attempting a suicidal rite of valor. One cultural misunderstanding later, Victor has a wife. Now trapped between monsters, hostile royalty, divine power, and a marriage neither of them expected, Victor has something worth fighting for again and a kingdom to reclaim. He is torn between returning to the rage that saved his soul and the power it brings, or building a new life from scratch. The problem is that Borrakai seems to like him better when he’s angry.
